Born and based in Kazakhstan, Nurdos Aliaskarov has built a distinguished career by elevating traditional Kazakh jewelry art (zergerstvo) into the realm of modern luxury. Known for his "Nomadic Contemporary" style, Aliaskarov meticulously designs each piece by hand, blending fine silver and 18-karat gold with substantial raw or polished gemstones such as turquoise, lapis lazuli, and labradorite.His creative process involves heavy hand-engraving, filigree, and oxidation techniques, creating unique textures that evoke the landscapes and history of the Silk Road. Throughout his career, Aliaskarov has gained international acclaim for his iconic interpretations of historic Central Asian jewelry, including the "Bes Blezik" (traditional multi-ring hand jewelry) and statement signet rings.
