Jean Prouvé has become a leading figure in the history of design and has worked alongside Le Corbusier, Perriand, and Mallet-Stevens. The clean and pure lines of the buffet are characteristic of Prouvé's industrial style, combining formal and aesthetic elegance with technical innovation. His use of metal was inspired by the aeronautic industry. He adopted galvanized steel, folded and pressed, for his furniture, often combining it with wood. Location: New York
