Commode Skarabée

Commode Skarabee is one of Ingrid Donat’s most intricate artworks, covered in geometric designs achieved by the lost wax casting method. The interior is polished into a burnished bronze, contrasted against the black frame in a chiaroscuro manner, to maximise the grand commode’s visual impact. The artist’s signature geometric designs, which cover the artwork, express a universal language, derived from nature, linguistics, and philosophy, sophisticatedly blending the Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles.
