Campana BrothersAutumn Sofa

Part of the materially complex Hybridism collection, Autumn Sofa is a sculptural experiment inspired by the mythological tale of Noah’s Ark. The intuitively crafted piece use natural textures to achieved a trompe l’oeil effect, building its tree trunk-like structure from plates of cast iron. Slung through its core, the fabric seat is woven in a way that mimics a swarm of insects devouring the ‘wood’ of the trunk. Similar to all the works from the acclaimed Brazilian studio, Autumn Sofa exudes a charisma that makes it need to be explored and touched in order to be understood.
